Accountable Named GP

A note regarding ‘Named GP for patients over 75’

You may be aware that all practices are required to provide all their patients aged 75 and over with a named GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides to them.

In a large Practice like ours, patients may choose to see whichever Doctor they want (this being your preferred GP) but this does not mean that your preferred GP and named GP are the same.  

​The named GP does not in any way prevent you from seeing any of the other doctors here at Audley Mills.  You do not need to take any further action, but if you have a strong preference and would prefer a different ‘Named GP’ please jot this down on a note with your name and address and hand it to reception and we will amend the computer system to show your chosen ‘Named GP’ instead.
