Update to our telephone systems.

We are aware of some telephone issues which our patients often experience when calling the Surgery; first in the queue but still waiting a long time, calls dropping out of the queue, etc. Whilst we have continually worked with our telecom provider to find solutions to these problems, ultimately our digital analogue telephone system is no longer fit for purpose for such a large and busy practice.

The good news is that at the start of the year the new GP contract stated that all surgeries should have fully cloud-based telephone systems installed to allow for a more streamlined service for our patients and that funding will be provided to assist with this.

The work behind the scenes for this has been ongoing for several months and we are pleased to say we are in the final stages of securing a provider to offer this to us.
The benefits of a fully cloud based system includes but are not limited to; callback features, call queuing, management information allowing for greater insight into busy and quiet times etc.

We are excited about this change as we feel confident this will have a positive impact on one of our biggest challenges at the practice. The surgery telephone number WILL NOT change and we will keep you updated with any further developments.
